Review:
The beautiful Irish melody (SLANE) has here been set for 3 to 5-octaves of bells by Paul McKlveen in memory of a ringer in one of his bell choirs. The performance notes give hints and suggestions to bring out the expressiveness and flowing character of this work. The LV technique is used extensively and a lovely ending uses mallets on suspended bells. Information about the arranger is included. Set in Eb Major and C Major, this piece is 82 measures.
