Review:
Leslie Betteridge has had a most distinguished career as a composer, organist and choir master in England and Bermuda. Now turning to handbell literature he has set an original tune for 4, 5 or 6 octaves of bells. A lovely melody in 3/4 time is introduced and then put through a variety of enhancements: changing harmonies, scale-passage accompaniments and chromatic movement. The texture is open and light and well fits the melodic material.
