Kling Glockchen

Review:      Subtitled "Ring, Little Bells," this traditional German carol is arranged for 2-part choir, keyboard accompaniment, and 9 bells ranging from G4 to E6. The bells ring an alternating "tinkling" motif throughout the work. Some 16ths and syncopated rhythms are used, but the piece is easily learned with rehearsal. The bell score appears on the top stave of the anthem score. The text begins: "Kling, Glockchen, kling-a-ling-a-ling, Hear the Christ child saying, 'Now ,without delaying, Will you let Me enter? It's so cold this winter!'" Measures total 68.
