Review:      Commissioned for a 125th anniversary of a Lutheran congregation, this big work is a concertato for choir (SATB), congregation, brass quintet, timpani, 3 to 5-octaves of handbells and organ. The handbells ring on all but one of the five stanzas. The text states -This is a time for banners and bells, for trumpets and festive throngs; This is a day for holiday frills, for worship and marching songs: "Come, sing to the Lord, give thanks to the Lord, for He makes all things new". Brass ensemble is two trumpets, Trombone, French horn, Tuba and Timpani. Instrument parts include nine handbell parts.
