Review:
A concertato for SATB voices, congregation, optional treble choir, optional handbells and organ, this work is based on Heinz Werner Zimmermann's tune LITTLE FLOCK. It is marked to be performed in a playful manner with childlike joy and simplicity. The handbells are scored on a separate part and are written entirely in the treble staff. The range of bells is from G4 to G6. The bells are used sparingly for effect and play either a unison line or in octaves. The text begins: Have no fear, little flock, for the Father has chosen to give you the Kingdom; have no fear, little flock!
