Review:
After a big fanfare opening involving the triplet rhythmic figure in 4/4 time, the hymn-tune melody appears in octaves and then in full chords. An interlude comprised of beginning material then follows and lead into another statement of the theme. A slightly slower section follows with the curious insertion of a short musical quote from the carol, "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day." The arrangement then finishes with a restatement of beginning musical material.
