Review:
The 17th century German hymn tune, Hilariter - Latin meaning "joyfully" - has been set for SATB, keyboard and optional instruments. Only 5 handbells are required from Ab5 to Db and plays only in single, dotted half-note rhythm. The part is scored with the percussion and look strange, but is not difficult to ring. The text of this work begins: The whole bright world rejoices now, Hilariter, hilariter; The birds do sing on every bough, Alleluia, alleluia.
