Each part in this trio is written on a separate staff. Ringer 1 plays a bell tree consisting of G6-G7, while the other 2 ringers use bells from G4 to E6. The bell tree plays the melody alone at the beginning. When ringers 2 and 3 enter, ringer 2 plays the melody while ringer 3 provides a steady beat underneath. When all three parts play together, the bell tree takes the melody while ringer 2 rings an arpeggiated figure and ringer 3 keeps the tempo steady. For added interest, echoes are used for the ending.
