Review:
Beautiful and flowing, this arrangement of ST. COLUMBA for bells and chimes highlights the beauty of the timeless tune. Ringers will enjoy this soothing, expressive setting, but will be challenged by short phrases of duple eighth notes against triplet eighth notes and arpeggiated, sixteenth note patterns. In the middle section, the chimes play a gentle chordal accompaniment while the upper bells play the simple melody. Careful attention to the dynamic contrasts is crucial. 86 measures in the key of C Major.
