Review:
The hymn tune, GLORIA, has probably been arranged more times than we can count. However, Brian Childers has created a fresh, elegant, and beautiful setting that will capture your heart. The gorgeous tune is presented, often in subtle ways, offset by counter-melodies, gentle stopped sounds, echoes, perfectly placed shakes and marts. The rising sixteenth notes to tied eights gives this a gloriously happy feel throughout while being quite expressive. This arrangement will be a must-have in every group’s Christmas repertoire. There are two repeated sections which were omitted from the demo soundtrack due to space limitations so the total actual length is just over 3 minutes. Key of Eb Major.
