Review:
Based on the hymn tune MORNING STAR, also known as CONSOLATION, this arrangement begins with dramatic swings. After the initial statement of the tune, a melodic motive is used to intensify the piece. A touch of the Ukrainian Carol appears, foreshadowing Christmas. The return of the dramatic swings leads us back to the Advent tone and theme. 87 measures. Key of f minor.
