Review:
This easy anthem for SATB and 3 octaves of handbells (or piano) uses the melody and harmonization of Orlando Gibbons' hymn tune SONG 46. A fair amount of unison and two-part singing precedes the four-part final verse. This gives churches an unusual opportunity to do a choir/handbell piece during Lent. 45 measures.
