Review:
This hymn tune, PUER NOBIS NASCITUR, is set to multiple texts, allowing the piece to be used for Easter, Advent, Epiphany, or for general times. Adding to the piece’s flexibility, it also works for a wide range of bells, from 2 to 5 octaves. Mallet work accompanies stanza one of the hymn; then in stanza two, thumb damps accompany the melody on chimes. The last stanza has a return of the accompanying mallet work, finishing with chords and powerful martellatos. 88 measures. Keys of G Major and D Major.
