Review:
Karen Buckwalter’s beautiful arrangement of the beloved Robert Lowry tune is a grand tour through Christian hymnody. Numerous hymn tunes are quoted throughout, usually between verses of the main tune, but occasionally as counterpoint and countermelody. The addition of the optional cello adds a glorious bass sound, but in its absence, the cello part is notated in the score for handchimes. This piece is a true musical delight from start to finish! 69 measures. Keys of F Major and D Major.
