Review:
Bob Burroughs’s “Adagio for Bells” has surprising action, energy, and challenges, and yet it always returns to something soft. This piece is well placed at celebrations and festivals at churches, schools, and universities. It is sure to hold listeners’ interest until the end, and it will become a favorite for bell choirs. Scored for 4–7 octave handbells. Level III. 52 measures. Key of Ab Major.
