Based upon the national dance of the Philippines, Tinikling is a fun piece for groups looking for something different and exciting. The piece accelerates with each new verse, providing a technical and choreographic challenge for ringers equal to those of a dancer performing the dance itself, where one wrong step or slip of concentration can result in getting a foot snapped between two poles. Lively and frolicsome to the end, this piece is sure to enthrall audiences. Key of G Major/E Minor. 139 measures.
