Review:
The lyrics of this Christmas song depict the many aspects of Mary's child - a child of wonder, promise, sorrow, and glory - whom we now proclaim as the risen Lord. Complimented by handbells, the gentle flowing melody, first stated by treble voices and later harmonized by SATB choir, creates a mood of introspection concerning the miraculous birth. Text by Timothy Dudley-Smith. Handbell part is reproducible. Key of Eb Major. 62 measures.
