Review:
"Amazing Grace", "Promised Land", and "Middlebury" are the three early American folk tunes in this collection. A quarter-half note rhythmic motif occupies the upper register throughout "Amazing Grace", while the melody plays out in the middle treble clef. "Promised Land" is written in f sharp minor with an F Sharp Major chord ending, and thumb damps are a key accompaniment technique in the treble while the bass takes the melody in the first half of "Middlebury".
