Review:
After a rousing introduction, this piece builds from start to a fff finish. Echos, mallet work, and mallet clicks highlight this rhythmic and exciting arrangement. In the tradition of Hebrew dances, this music speeds up considerably, from a beginning tempo of quarter = 88 to a final tempo of quarter = 132 (or as fast as possible). A lively festive prelude for church or concert, "King of Kings" is 86 measures in length. It travels through four different keys, beginning in g minor and ending in c minor.
