Review:
Beautiful melodic lines convey the traditional Latin text in this artistic setting by Mark Patterson. The piece opens with a mood of awe and mystery created by handbells, piano, and layered vocals; and an artistic accompaniment supports the choral parts throughout. An ethereal descant complements the melody before the work draws to an ending of quiet splendor. A most helpful Latin pronunciation and translation guide is included. Only 2 handbells/handchimes are used (A5 and D6), so one person could easily handle the bell part.
