Review:
With driving rhythm throughout, this great “Americana” hymn sparkles. The dotted eighth-sixteenth note pattern so familiar in this melody is used throughout, and a section with optional handchimes adds nice contrast. Keep your mallets close by, as they will be needed often! A great piece that looks and sounds more difficult than it is, "Standing on the Promises" is 62 measures and is scored in G Major, C Major, and F Major.
