Review:
This hymn by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend, set for handbells by Bill Ingram, is perfect for the Lenten/Easter season or any time the cross of Christ is emphasized. The arrangement begins reflectively with bass handchimes (may be rung on bells). Various techniques are then used as it builds to a majestic climax, expressing the wonderful text: “We stand forgiven at the cross.” A powerful and moving setting, it is 78 measures and is arranged in C Major and Bb Major.
