A sure crowd pleaser, this arrangement of the old traditional spiritual is full of swinging rhythms, jazzy harmonies, and fun riffs. Optional tambourine and woodblock (printed in the back of the score) add to the fun! The melody is transported through many key changes and various forms of treatment, including malleting, syncopation, and swing rhythms. This piece is 96 measures and proceeds stepwise through the keys of Db Major, D Major, Eb Major, e minor, F Major, f minor, and E Major.
