Big Ben Birthday Waltz

Review:      The "Westminster Chime" tune, upon which this happy composition is based, comes from a phrase in the fifth bar of "I Know That My Redeemer Liveth" from Handel's "Messiah". It may have been written by Dr Randall, Professor of Music at Cambridge University, or by a pupil, William Crotch. Although there are no real lyrics to the tune, simple words have evolved over the years: "All through this hour, Lord be my guide; And by Thy power, No foot shall slide." Although the rating is level 2+, the tempo setting of vivace, quarter = 132 provides an extra challenge for ringers. Set in G Major, these 110 measures will fly by!
