Review:
This stirring setting of SLANE was created in memory of the arranger's great-grandmother, whose eyes were always focused on the Lord. While the primary tune is BE THOU MY VISION, fragments of OPEN MY EYES, THAT I MAY SEE are woven into the rich texture of the music. Shining through in the arranging is the message of the hymn, particularly its final triumphant stanza: "Great God of Heaven, Thy victory won..." Challenging in spots, yet very accessible.
