Based on the hymn tunes ST. ELIZABETH and ICH WILL DICH LIEBEN, this setting begins with a reflective section using the LV technique. A later section is in chordal structure, but adds interest with dynamic variations. The lovely G-Major medley thoughtfully finishes in measure 56.
