Review:
This setting of PERSONENT HODIE for handbell quartet is ideal for Christmas season concerts or church services. The first 8 measures may be used as a processional or an antiphonal introduction. Alternate bells, if available (such as Petit & Fritsen, Whitechapel or silver melody bells) along with malleting suspended handbells add to a feeling of mystery and awe. Performance suggestions and ringing assignments are provided. The music is arranged so that one copy per ringer or notebook will be needed. Arranged in g minor, measures total 56.
