Review:
Glistening like freshly fallen snow, this setting of the beloved English carol beautifully radiates the warmth and tenderness of the carol's timeless text. Images of the holy family surrounded by angel choirs and gentle stable animals paint the quintessential Christmas picture that children of all ages can easily imagine. The repeated Latin phrase,
"Venite Adoremus Dominum," provides an excellent opportunity for teaching and singing pure vowel sounds, while also giving children a chance to sing an easy foreign language phrase. Optional parts for percussion and handbells (or handchimes) add additional sparkle to the piece with colorful timbres befitting a soft, gentle snowfall.
