Review:
"I'm Gonna Live So God Can Use Me" is an African-American spiritual, in cut time, with a positive air about it. Arranger Sondra Tucker accomplishes this mood through use of bouncy, mallet accompaniment and a full sound. The middle section provides a reflective contrast through the use of chimes playing another spiritual, "Lord, I Want to Be a Christian in My Heart." Schedule this selection for any performance or worship moment, especially one that encourages commitment to service.
