The Chinese folk tune LE P'ING is the foundation of this interesting arrangement for bells and optional finger cymbals and wind chimes. Upper suspended bells are malleted over an LV arpeggio to open the piece and lead into a melody played on optional handchimes (14 chimes from F#4 - Bb5). The melody passes through three key changes on its journey to a poignant ending in measure 65.
