Review:
Arrangements of this hymn usually call for a strong and full musical texture to support the text. This setting, however, is full of a light-hearted joy in expressing "God only wise." The texture is open and light. Staccato articulation lends bounce to the accompaniment, the echo technique adds a touch of mystery, and 7 bass clef chimes further enhance the musical mood. Ten measures before the end a building shake creates a satisfying ending. 69 measures ending in a mart!
