Come to the Banquet

Review:      "Come to the Banquet" is a flexible communion song that is accessible to children as well as adults. Although it may be done with just cantor, congregation, and accompaniment, the optional choir parts can be performed by children's choir, by two cantors, or divided among the sections of a mixed choir. The simple bell part may be played on handbells or other bell-like instruments such as xylophone or glockenspiel. The accessibility of the composition makes it an ideal song for first communion celebrations, yet it should appeal to the regular Sunday assembly as well.
