Review:
Nine handbells, ranging from D5 to D6, may be substituted for the second part in this 2-part anthem. The tune is Irish (the Kerry Dance), but the words speak of the joy of the Christmas season: "Now's the time for the Christmas season, It's the time when the earth's a glow; all the rooftops and treetops glisten with a blanket of fallen snow." The bells ring in simple rhythms in compound time (6/8).
