Sakura
One can almost feel the wind blowing through the cherry blossoms when listening to this rendition of the traditional Japanese melody. Undulating, eighth-note rhythms accompany the first introduction of the melody in the bass registers. Later, a light rain can be heard in the malleting of 16th notes rhythms. A stronger wind blows when martellato technique is scored against the tune supported by full chords. All this works toward a gentle and soft finish.
