 "Festival on Wexford Carol" celebrates this compelling 12th-century Irish tune in a dignified setting with 4 compatible versions to fit many different performance needs. Unaffected and straightforward, this exploration of intriguing rhythms at a stately tempo will mesmerize your audience - while also preparing your ringers for more challenging up-tempo pieces using 16th-note duple and triple rhythm patterns.

#1 (MRE83251) for 3-4 octaves with optional 2-3 octaves chimes can be played by as few as 6 ringers (and up to 11 or 12). Assignment notes are included. Part of the little gems and True Music series; this version is NOT reproducible.

#2 (MRE83252) is for a full choir using 4-6 octaves plus optional D2 & D8 and optional 3-6 octaves plus D2 chimes. Part of the True Music series; this version is NOT reproducible.

#1 and #2 feature rhythmic mallets in the bass - first with straight 16th note patterns and later with 16th note triplets (reminiscent of Ravel's "Bolero") accompanying the 1st and 3rd verse melodies played in the treble. The 2nd verse showcases a unison melody line in the bass and rhythmic chords in the treble. Options for using duplicate bells for specific situations are noted. Unison exercises teaching notes for the 16th-note patterns are included. Useful for including 3-4 octave groups in larger (5 octave plus) advanced ringing events, this arrangement allows the larger groups to fully utilize their instrument range without just doubling down. Ideal for school; Holiday, Advent, and Christmas concerts; advanced Coppers and Bronze festivals; and worship settings.

#3 (MRE5623R) is part of the First String and little gems series. It is a 3-octave bell tree solo or ringing solo (plus optional duet part) with piano accompaniment. This version is reproducible.
