Praise My Soul the King of Heaven
Based on the hymn tune “Laude Anima”, this setting may be performed by bells alone or as an accompaniment to unison voices singing four verses, with introduction and interludes between each. It may also be used as an accompaniment for congregational singing. Bells play resonant chords, generally following the basic harmonies of the original hymn. The optional use of handchimes on one verse adds contrast in color, with a fine bell descant adding even more. A total of 107 measures, this hymn tune is scored in C Major.
