PERSONENT HODIE has been set to the text "Long Ago, Prophets Knew" for SATB voices, accompanied with optional 8 handbells (C6-B6). This advent anthem is especially appropriate for the annunciation of Mary. Suggestions for incorporation into worship are given as well as rehearsal comments. The bells ring mostly in unison and play for the majority of the work.
