A fun and carefully constructed intro to 8th notes, assuring success for your ringers. All ringers experience 8th notes in this piece, making it a great teaching piece that produces confident ringers. A perfect piece for worship, using the alternate title "Glorify the Lord", or concert. Two non-compatible settings in one folio allow directors to choose which version works best for their ensemble’s range and skill level.
Score A (
3-5 octaves, Level 2-, key of C
) adheres strictly to both notes in an 8th note pair being assigned to the same ringer, making them much easier to ring. In Score B (
2 octaves, Level 2, key of G
), 8th notes are often shared between two ringers, making it a true Level 2 score. A Unison Exercise walks all ringers through the particular skills needed for this piece, making your prep for rehearsal and class much easier and more complete. Both scores are 43 measures, with a performance time of 1:40. Both are included on the sound clip.
Pieces with similar 8th note pedagogical constructs include "
Upbeat
"; "
Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
"; "
Gather, Thankful People
"; "
In the Beginning
"; "
Matinata 1 & 2
"; "
Matinata 3
"; "

"; and "

".
All of these are part of the

from ringTrue, which offers carefully crafted pieces that combine solid pedagogy and performance-worthy music: Win-Win!!
