Solo Time 3
"Solo Time 3 – Walk the Walk 3" reinvents the bright original piece “Walk the Walk” as an easy-medium Bell Tree solo or duet (using 11 bells: G5 to C7). It is a sacred piece. Accompaniment options include piano, guitar or L1 handbell ensemble – as well as a free accompaniment track available on the www.handbellworld.com website. This audio track allows 10 seconds at the beginning to turn it on and get to your bells. An instructional video explaining how to string bells on a stick or a stand and some basic malleting techniques is also on the website. A solo ringer can learn the piece on their own (as I did), and the rest of the ringing ensemble can easily work up the accompaniment in one session to record for worship. It adds some sparkle in worship or concert and, when added to the 2 compatible scores, allows an even wider spectrum of ringers to participate in festival or performance.
This piece offers some Bell Tree solo options: 1) Soloist plays the single line melody, 2) soloist adds a second voice for harmony (increasing the difficulty level) and 3) another ringer joins in for a duet (Ringer #2 plays the harmony notes). It can also be played by a 4iH duet or trio - or even by a small ringing ensemble.
“Solo Time 3 – Walk the Walk 3” is compatible with 2 previously published scores from ringTrue:
“Walk the Walk 1” – fully scored for 3-5 oct., Levels 1 and 2 (Split-Level) RE27041
“Walk the Walk 2” – for unison/2-part voice, L1 Handbells and/or guitar (Sing & Ring) RE70032R

Sound files for accompaniment options for rehearsal and performance are included as free downloadable Zip files from the website.
"Solo Time" pieces are REPRODUCIBLE by the original purchaser and are available as a digital download site license, allowing easy sharing within an ensemble or class. Look for more innovative solo pieces by Kathleen Wissinger in the "Solo Time" series, as well as many other solo, duet, bell tree, 4iH and small ensemble pieces from ringTrue to accommodate your ringers (or you!) - "home alone" with a few bells or chimes! Of course, ringers can also use these pieces in more normal rehearsal/performance settings. Best wishes for happy, healthy ringing!
