Late Night Blues
This original piece is true to the blues/swing style throughout. The blues pattern is established in the accompaniment and features upbeat staccatos that may be played director’s choice, although the composer prefers RT. Extensive use of the ‘baby bells’ on top will be fun for those ringers. The low 6th octave notes are not scored but directors should feel free to add those ‘big boys’ as is fitting for their group. It ends with an improvisational section which is scored. All will be whistling or humming the melody long after rehearsal ends. Key of g minor. 107 measures.
