Quarters on Foundation
Robert James Lamb's creative setting of this early American melody is sure to delight listeners. Based around the Westminster Quarters change ring, which plays in one form or another throughout most of the piece, the piece moves from simple and prayerful to grand and triumphant and back. Much of the melody is scored on a separate staff for six handchimes, which may be played by a separate chime choir or soloist, or by a solo C instrument. This is a delightful, new take on a grand, old hymn. 55 measures. Key of F Major.
