Written for a Palm Sunday service, this original work begins with tolling chords, representing the triumphant celebration of Jesus' arrival into Jerusalem. The second section features a somber melody reminiscent of Berlioz's "Symphonie Fantastique." The final part is bold and joyful, building to a majestic ending. A total of 58 measures, this piece is scored in Eb Major, d dorian mode, and D Major.
