Rock Him Gently
"Rock Him Gently" has a melodic theme that shifts back and forth between treble and bass. It is an original composition appropriate for any part of the Christmas season. At measure 22, the piece modulates into a minor key and takes on a more somber feel. Later in the piece, it goes back into Major, and the bass bells take the melody and play the scale-like passages with mallets. All ends happily, in this lilting piece for the Christ Child.
