School Bells
This teaching text is broken into five sections that guide music leaders through the steps of using handbells or handchimes to teach basic musical concepts. The five sections are: 1) Preparing to use bells/chimes, 2) Teaching the basics of music with bells/chimes, 3) Starting to ring exercises, 4) Establishing ringing positions, and 5) Helpful handbell hints. Additionally, arrangements of four familiar songs ("Aura Lee", "Home on the Range", "Land of the Silver Birch", and "Canoe Song") are included as well as a suggested additional repertoire list.
