52 Arrival Activities for Children's Choirs
Preparation and organization can ease the transition from the choir room door to the actual rehearsal, especially for those children who arrive early and need to have an activity to occupy a few extra minutes, as well as enhance biblical and musical concepts. Set aside a special place in the choir room for these activities. Let the children know that an activity will always waiting on them when they arrive at choir. Copy the worksheets in advance and place worksheets and any supplies in this space prior to the rehearsal. If needed, as an adult, volunteer to be present to oversee the activity and provide assistance as needed, especially when working with younger elementary age children.
