It Was Long Long Ago
Bells in the treble 3-octave range ring in quarter and half note rhythms in a unison line for an additional accompaniment to this sweet anthem of Christmas tide. A separate score for bells (or chimes) is included in the vocal octavo. The text begins: "It was long, long ago that I happened in a city across the sea. Our Lord came down to a little town bringing God's love to you and me."
